Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American Sportcaster. The present sportscaster is for ESPN, working as anchor of SportsCenter news, as well as host of SportsNation. She started working for ESPN in the year 2016. The daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been bilingual since when she was nine years old. Her ability in this area has helped her get her first job with Univision, Miami. Antonietta Collins' parents were born in Veracruz Mexico. The girl was born on November 22nd, 1985 in Mexico City. Her older sister is also hers. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico to the US and was settled in Miami. The couple divorced shortly after and in 1995 her mother married a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in the year 2006. She stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister throughout the summer in which she was offered an opportunity to work. At the time of her senior year in high school but with a clear idea what she wanted to do for her life, Antonietta went to the University of Mount Union to see if it would meet her goals. In the end, she was a fan of the university and they were offering the major that she had been looking for. After graduation, she enrolled at the university with a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and the manager of WRMU where she's a member. They formed a strong friendship. He encouraged her to be confident in herself and his enthusiasm for journalism was deeply affecting her and she in turn, determined to meet his expectations, and to never fail him.
